Tom Wilcox
Tom has been working as an independent consultant and trainer since 2002.
He specialises in finance, governance, business and strategic planning,
capital projects, organisational development and restructuring.
Tom has 13 years’ experience in the not for profit/charity, arts and public sectors. Having worked in a students’ union and then trained as an accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ charity/public sector department, Tom went on to increasingly senior financial and general management roles at the Arts Council, The Poetry Society and Whitechapel Gallery.
With a strong interest the arts and the public realm, Tom is a trustee of an arts/education charity in Bristol. He is also an independent member of the Audit and Governance committees of the London Borough of Waltham Forest and a pro bono financial advisor to two not for profit organisations.
Tom is a visiting lecturer at Chelsea College of Art and Byam Shaw School
of Art. He was previously a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College.
Tom has written numerous articles in journals on issues affecting the
not for profit sector and has recently contributed to the NCVO’s
updated Good Trustees Guide![]()
